Blizzard may have revealed new class and race combinations for World of Warcraft: Forever in a launch overview video released just before the game's launch. Eagle-eyed players spotted three combinations not currently available in the game: a tauren Mage, a skyborne Paladin, and a night elf Shaman.
Currently, Forever limits certain combinations. On the Alliance side, only dwarves can be Shamans. On the Horde side, undead are the only Paladin option. A night elf Shaman would expand Shaman choices for Alliance players. A skyborne Paladin would give Horde a second race option for Paladins, though skyborne are locked behind a $30 paywall.
Blizzard has signaled these combinations are planned but not launching day one. In an interview with GameSpot last month, Forever associate production director Clay Stone said Blizzard was "holding back" some features originally planned for launch. Stone stated players should expect new class and race combos "not that far after launch."
WoW: Forever launches today for PC.
