Santa Monica Studio delayed God of War Laufey from February to May 20th, 2027. The studio announced the three-month delay on its social channels, stating it needs extra time to apply "finishing touches" and push the game to its "fullest potential."
The PS5 exclusive stars Faye, Kratos' late wife, as she journeys through the Everywhen, an afterlife realm for the gods. Her story runs parallel to the 2018 God of War reboot and Ragnarök, with Faye attempting to help Kratos and their son Atreus from beyond. Santa Monica Studio confirmed that another Kratos-led game is also in development and will directly tie into Laufey's events.
