Grand Theft Auto 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in the coming weeks. GameSpot's senior video producer Jake Dekker analyzed 99 high-resolution screenshots from Rockstar Games and found extensive small details throughout the game.
The screenshots reveal attention to layered elements. NPCs display realistic aging and effects from tropical climate exposure in Leonida, GTA 6's setting. Character models show frazzled beards and realistic scars. Currency in the game features dollar bills printed with "United States of Paranoia."
Rockstar has detailed other mechanics in recent announcements. The game includes fuel economy systems, consequence-based actions, police behavior that "release the hounds" to catch players, and an expansive map. Cliff Richard's 1976 song "Devil Woman" appears on the soundtrack.
