Nintendo said it has no plans to increase the Switch 2 price again, at least not in the near term. The company stated it has enough memory stockpiled to avoid another price hike, according to VGC's report on Nintendo's latest earnings briefing.
Nintendo raised the Switch 2 price from $450 to $500 in September. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles have also seen price increases. The hikes stem from macroeconomic factors including tariffs and demand for memory and components from AI companies.
Nintendo received millions in tariff refunds but is keeping the money for itself, similar to what PlayStation and other companies are doing with their own refunds.
