Final Fantasy 14: Evercold sets itself a release date at the tail end of winter, alongside offering a look at its second, avian-inclined new job

Final Fantasy 14: Evercold will launch on February 23rd, 2027, Square Enix announced this week at Final Fantasy 14 Fest in Tokyo. The expansion was delayed by roughly a month from its previous target.

The studio revealed the expansion's second new job class, Zephyr. Zephyr is a physical ranged DPS that uses a crossbow and comes with an avian familiar to assist in combat.

Square Enix also showed a preview of an Evangelion collaboration alliance raid rendered in the style of the original anime's post-credits next episode teaser reels. A cinematic opening the expansion was revealed alongside the release date announcement.
