Patch 1.6.0 for Silent Hill: Townfall adds a new Hard difficulty mode and rebalances all existing difficulty settings across PS5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
Konami designed the rebalance to create "a smoother difficulty curve for players to choose from". Resource distribution has been adjusted in some sections, and enemy hearing sharpens at higher difficulties. Player position now displays on the map regardless of difficulty, while main enemy attack reduction applies only to Story Mode.
A warning screen now appears when players select Nightmare difficulty for their first playthrough. The difficulty selection menu offers clearer descriptions of how each option differs.
The update also improves valve status lighting for colorblind players, adds more hints and tutorials, and refines puzzle hints and item wording. The options menu reorganizes into clearer categories. The controls remapping option now explicitly indicates that keyboard and mouse commands can be remapped, not just controller inputs.
PC players receive a new DLSS Ray Reconstruction option alongside general improvements and bug fixes. Players can verify their version by checking v1.6.155963 on PC or v1.6.156035 on PS5 in the lower right corner of the main menu.
Silent Hill: Townfall launched September 24 on PS5 and PC. Screen Burn developed the game and Konami published it.
