IO Interactive released a free Starter Pack for 007 First Light, letting players experience the game's opening mission at no cost. The pack is now available on Xbox and PC, with a PS5 release coming November 10. PlayStation Plus Premium members can play one hour of the full game starting today as a separate trial.
The third-person action game launched earlier this year on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC to positive reviews. IO Interactive developed it using design principles from the Hitman franchise, featuring large maps with multiple routes rather than the linear gameplay of past Bond games.
Progress and completed challenges in the Starter Pack carry forward into the full game if players purchase it. The studio notes the Switch 2 port still needs more polish before its March 18 release.
First Light is currently discounted 40 percent on PC through November 9 and on Xbox through November 15. PlayStation 5 has a 50 percent discount running through November 30.
