Marvel's Wolverine has sold 2.4 million units across two months on PlayStation 5, according to Sony's 2026 Q2 earnings report. The figure appears weak when compared to other recent Sony first-party releases. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 sold 2.5 million units on its first day. Ghost of Yōtei reached 3.3 million sales within 32 days. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End hit 2.7 million in its first week. Wolverine has not reached those figures in seven weeks.

The gap widens further against Nintendo's Rhythm Heaven Groove, which sold 2.89 million units as of September 30, despite releasing two months before Wolverine on July 2.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Insomniac Games' previous Marvel title, carried a budget around $300 million. No official budget figure exists for Wolverine.
