Digital Extremes will open Soulframe to all players on November 6th after two years in closed alpha. The free-to-play fantasy RPG will launch its "open prelude" ahead of update 17, Verse of the Veilands.
Update 17 adds rideable adult wolves that players can obtain by gathering ingredients for a special biscuit to grow Omen wolfpup allies. The patch also introduces a region purging system designed to guide new players toward the game's missions, referred to as "votives" in Soulframe's terminology.
Digital Extremes expressed nervousness about certain changes coming with the update, though the report does not detail which specific changes concerned the studio.
