According to The Verge, The Elder Scrolls VI will reportedly be subtitled Sentinel and could receive a re-reveal in November to confirm the full title. Bethesda may time the announcement to November 11th, when Skyrim turns 15 years old.

The game is claimed to be set in Hammerfell, the Redguards' province. Sentinel is both a kingdom and city within Hammerfell. Fans have expected Hammerfell as the setting since a 2018 Elder Scrolls 6 teaser, with some theorizing the map could span the Iliac Bay region to include High Rock.

The plot reportedly involves exploring mysteries linked to the Elder Scrolls themselves. the report also mentions the Thalmor-led Aldmeri Dominion advancing to conquer Tamriel and pursuing metaphysical goals to return the land to a previous era when elves held power. This mirrors a direction Skyrim co-lead designer Kurt Kuhlmann outlined earlier this year as a path he might have taken if he remained at Bethesda. Kuhlmann departed the studio in 2023.
