GTA 6 File Size Revealed, And It’s Massive–See How It Compares To Other Huge Games

GTA 6 requires 210GB of storage on PlayStation 5 for the $80 standard edition, according to PlayStation Game Size. The file size for the $100 Ultimate Edition and Xbox Series X|S versions were not disclosed, though the Xbox version is likely similar in size.

Preloading begins November 12 ahead of the game's November 19 launch. The 210GB file size is double that of Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption II.

GTA 6 is the largest game by file size compared to major recent releases. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War takes 175GB, followed by Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Stalker 2 at 160GB each, and Forza Horizon 6 at 156GB.

The game's massive map is three times bigger than Red Dead Redemption 2's. GTA 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19. A PC edition is expected in early 2027.
