Google added a nostalgic easter egg tied to the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. Typing "zelda" or "Ocarina of Time" into Google Search displays a glowing Master Sword in the bottom right corner. Clicking it transforms the search engine to its 1998 appearance, complete with the old logo featuring an exclamation mark, blue hyperlinks in Times New Roman font, and results ordered by relevance with no AI results, shopping links, or ads.

The easter egg arrives as Google faces financial pressure. Last week, the company lost $475 billion in stock market value on its worst-performing day ever after missing ad revenue targets. Analysts attributed the decline to Google's own AI search product cannibalizing ad revenue.
