Palworld developer Pocketpair wants to bring the game to Switch 2, despite an ongoing patent infringement lawsuit filed by Nintendo. CEO Takuru Mizobe told VGC that he thinks Switch 2 is "a really amazing platform" and said Pocketpair would welcome conversations about porting the game if the opportunity arose.
Mizobe previously stated that Palworld was too demanding for the original Switch but could work on Switch 2 if the hardware proved capable enough. Communications director John Buckley later told IGN that a Switch 2 port was worth considering, provided the console could handle the game.
A port is unlikely until the lawsuit resolves. The Tokyo District Court is scheduled to issue a preliminary view on November 9th. Palworld has sold over 30 million copies since its 2024 release, with July's 1.0 update drawing almost 1 million concurrent players on Steam.
