Sam Hulick, composer of the Mass Effect trilogy, plans to rescore the leaked Mass Effect Universe trailer for N7 Day. Hulick wrote on X that he aims to release the rescored trailer despite being busy pitching for a new game, stating he wants it to "properly represent my musical vision for MEU."

The Mass Effect Universe trailer surfaced last week as internal material BioWare created for EA and BioWare management to showcase the cancelled fifth Mass Effect game. The music and assets were never intended for public release.

Austin Wintory, composer known for Journey and Hades 2, also plans to release music he pitched to BioWare staff in 2025 for Mass Effect Universe. Wintory shared 20 minutes of that music after BioWare's closure.

BioWare shut down last week, affecting 50 employees there, as part of wider EA restructuring that impacted hundreds of workers across the company.
