Paramount's Angry Birds Movie 3 features a cameo appearance by Sonic the Hedgehog, according to a new trailer. The film marks the first Angry Birds film under Paramount's distribution after the studio acquired the rights last year. Previous Angry Birds movies were distributed by Sony.
In the trailer, Sonic appears running alongside Chuck, the yellow Angry Bird voiced by Josh Gad from Frozen, as they sprint through a wooded area. The report does not specify Sonic's role in the film beyond this scene.
The movie will release in theaters on December 23. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is scheduled for March 19.
