Virtue and a Sledgehammer launches next week as a violent catharsis action game built around smashing things with a sledgehammer. A free prologue called Virtue: Prologue is available now on Pantaloon's Playbill website.
The prologue takes a different approach than the main game. It functions as an experimental visual novella rather than an action experience. Players navigate feelings of a first love with a character described as "a hot, rich boy from Barcelona." The prologue offers branching moments like sneaking into a graveyard at night with your sister or climbing a tree for conversations.
Virtue: Prologue reuses some assets from the full game and employs striking text effects and mouse-button mechanics. The prologue requires signing up for Pantaloon's Playbill with an email address to play.
A content warning applies. The prologue uses flashing images that may trigger photosensitive epilepsy. No option currently exists to reduce this effect.
