Ben Affleck appeared on the New Heights podcast with brothers Jason and Travis Kelce to discuss his experience playing Fortnite. The two-time Oscar winner described himself as an avid gamer who enjoys first-person shooter games, which led him to believe he would perform competently in the battle royale title.
His expectations did not match reality. Affleck reported that he was eliminated immediately upon attempting to play Fortnite. The situation worsened when 12-year-old players defeated him and subsequently mocked him for his poor performance.
Affleck also shared opinions about Fortnite skins during the podcast appearance, though specific details about his stance on cosmetic customization options remain unclear from the available information.
The actor's comments reflect a common experience among established gamers attempting battle royale titles for the first time. Fortnite's competitive environment and playerbase, which includes younger skilled competitors, creates a steep learning curve even for experienced FPS enthusiasts.
